mismatching of data types (Boolen Refnum)

I want to control my pieso scanner , but I have mismatching of data types. Also a can't find converter for this data type, moreover I've not found this data type in manual for LabView

Hi Art,

as the error message clearly says: your VI is expecting references (refnums) for certain controls (knob, boolean button). You have to wire references instead of the terminals!
