measurement and automation explorer

Hi, All:

I have a question on hardware. It is a NI-DAQ card 6533.

Under Win98, in the Measurement and Automation Explorer, I can see the card
several days before. But today I don't know why I can't see any information
under Measurement and Automation Explorer, seems it disappears
automatically. I unplugged it and plugged it again, the computer still
didn't recognize it. When I switch to Win2000, I can see it under
Measurement and Automation Explorer, and when I 'Run Test Resource, it
passed the test'. When I 'Run Test Panel', the 'Last Error' shows '0' and
'no red color' on ' Fatal Error'.

I want to know if I still can see the card under Measurement and Automation
Explorer, it is true that the card is still good not being damaged.

Is there any measure I can do to re-see my device in Measurement and
Automation Explorer under Win98? Actually I followed the steps written in
the HELP.
but when I push the OK button under the Insert Menu, nothing happened.

Thanks,
Guohua

Guohua,

Hello, the first thing that I would suggest would be to refresh any hardware change in MAX (by pressing F5 or by going to the View Menu>>Refresh).

Now, if this doesn't help, remove the board from the computer, reboot once again (without the board) so that the system frees resources. Once again, shut down the computer and insert the board. Repeat steps from the first paragraph.

For more suggestions, I would recommend to contact NI support engineers (ni.com/ask). Good luck!

You may have more luck getting answers about NI hardware in one of the measurement hardware forums in the Developer Exchange here: http://exchange.ni.com/servlet/ProcessRequest?RHIVEID=101&RPAGEID=2&UCATEGORY_0=_12&UCATEGORY_S=0 . Try the Multifunction I/O or Digital I/O forums.

Good Luck!
