matlab script giving LV8 poor behavior

I have inserted a MATLAB script node into Labview.
Every time I add an object (front panel indicator, property node, anything for that matter), Labview closes and reloads the Matlab script causing significant delays in simple tasks.
the only workaround i have found is to keep deleting the Matlab script, make the changes to the VI and then put it back in at the end.
is there anyway to make the MATLAB script less active( ie, everything i try to save the file, i have to wait several seconds for labview to communicate to Matlab)/
Thanks alot,
Bryan

Hi Bryan,

Can I ask what version of Matlab you are using?

I've seen a few reports of some customers who have experienced similar behaviour, and I will follow these up for you, but need to know the version of Matlab that you have.

I'll let you know what I find as soon as possible after that.

Hi Bryan.

This has been reported as a Corrective Action Request (ID# 3VMB5KTQ)

R&D is currently investigating this issue.

The only workaround for now I guess is continuing to work by adding the script node last.

Corrective Action Request (ID# 3VMB5KTQ) is fixed in LabVIEW 8.2. Here is a link to the current evaluation software download for LabVIEW 8.2. Thanks!
