lego mindstorms: Is it possible to change the fixed user interface size of 1024 x 800 to smaller for use with netbooks?

Solved!
Go to solution

I teach at a school that is using netbooks next year - the screen size is 1024 x 576 for one model and 1024 x 600 for another model and color quality is 32 bit.  To our dismay, when we loaded Lego Mindstorms software to test it, we discovered that the user interface is fixed at 1024 x 800, which means the control panel at the bottom of the screen is inaccessible on the netbooks.  Is there a way to change the  interface size so that we can use the software on netbooks?  This is a serious issue for us!  Thanks for any help.

I posted this question in the LabView for Lego Enthusiasts forum, but noticed that nothing new has been posted by the moderator since 2007.  That's why I posted it in an active forum.  Thanks.

I'm not sure why you would say that.  The LabVIEW Fans of LEGO seems to have regular activity to me.

Hi RavensFan,

The LabView Fans of Lego forum shows recent activity by its members; I was concerned that the NI forum moderator seems not to be involved, since his last login was in 2007 (or maybe I'm misreading the information).  I'm still hoping that a forum member might have some thoughts about how to solve this issue, but wanted to post the issue in a forum that has an active NI moderator.

Thanks for checking anyway!

None of the boards have a moderator. Also, someone can correct me if I'm wrong but if you are not using the the LabVIEW toolkit for NXT, then I believe support for the Mindstorms program is done by Lego itself. There is no fixed resolution when you use LabVIEW.
