labview with windows xp performance issue

Hi,

I am interested in increasing the performance of my labview applications on a windows xp machine. I found the following article

http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3773

on the ni site, that suggested turning the performance option to background services. Does the same apply for windows xp as well.

Thank you,

-Tim

The quoted article explicitly refers to LabVIEW 5.1 or earlier. I doubt it has any significance for more recent LabVIEW versions.

What is your LabVIEW version?

Tim,

If you are working with a newer version of LabVIEW, I would recommend taking a look at the following documents.

1.  LabVIEW Performance and Memory Management
2.  Managing Performance and Memory

If you would like more information, please provide more information regarding what you wish to do.  Are you trying to improve the performance of specific VI's, your programming practices, or LabVIEW in general?

Best of luck on your application, and have a wonderful day.
