labview real time vs fpga project

Is there any difference between labview real time project & labview fpga project selection tab provided in the getting started window of labview 8.5? I want to program cRIO module? Which project type I want to select?

In your case its better to use the FPGA project because you will have more options there concerning cRIO.

I agree with Christian that the FPGA Project Wizard is a better starting point.

If you haven't tried the Real-Time one, try it out and inspect the project and VIs that the Real-Time Wizard generates. It will show you some concepts and ideas that you might want to integrate into your application.
