Hi,
I'm new to Labview. I have Keithley 2400 source meter and Labview 2011, 2400 is connected to PC thro Keithley KUSB-488A USB- GPIB adapter.
My board power is sourced from Keithley 2400. I need to measure and record the current consumption of my board (current varies from uA to mA) over a period of time (6 hours). Could you guide with sample/example code to record/capture the current consumption of my board with timestamp on the PC.
Thanks n regards
Radha

Hi Radha,
- Keithley provides a very good manual, where all the commands are explained in detail!
- You will find ready-to-use VI sets to communicate with your K2400 ind the IDN (Instrument Driver Network)...

Why would you decide to buy a Keithley GPIB controller for use with LabVIEW. An NI controller would not have required anything to get it to work. I'm not so sure about the Keithley.

Hi Dennis,
the KUSB488 used to work the same like a NI GPIB adapter for me (using VISA and after proper installation of drivers).
They tend to be somewhat less expensive than NI hardware (but not so much). Sometimes institutions choose their hardware only by price tag, especially when there are people cheap enough to work around all busg/incompatibilities (like students at universities)...

Hi GerdW,

I could not find any suitable example code to start with. I will try it.
Thanks n regards
