is the 3D polyfit and evalutation VIs capable of interpolating cylindrical coordinates

I am in need of a VI that can perform cylindrical coordinate interpolation. I am attempting to create an interpolated mesh of a human torso using a dataset. I have come across the polyfit and evaluation VI's but have had no luck using them. I converted my cartesian points to cylindrical so that dual values at particular x and y values will not be an issue but does the polyfit VI work with cylindrical coordinates?

Alex,

Unfortunately the polyfit VI does not have support for cylinderal coordinate system. Could you implement a system in which for every XY plane in your dataset (for a unique z) you complete a polynomial fit, whether it be horizontal or vertical on your human torso? In general the polynomial fit is for a 2-D curve and not for polynomial fitting of a 3-D mesh.

Thank you very much for your reply and yes that was my next option, to do 2 dimensional interpolations in several plane of the human torso

thanks again
