intensity graph circled pixels

hello all

                Here with i attached an example imgae. lets take the image is 103 X 103 image plotted using intensity plot, then i want to draw box outside a circle or elipse any where in the plot, and any size.after that i want to get the boxed small array into some other array.then replace the with zero outer the circle or elipse.i want to know the pixels over the circle...
