implementing fftw via a DLL in Base development version of LabVIEW

Dear Group,

Has anyone succesfully written a LabVIEW program that succesfully hooks into fftw via a "Call Library Function Node"?

I'm currently working in a  resource limited company. We have an old version (8.6) of the base development version of LabVIEW and I would very much like to take some FFT's of data within LabVIEW versus saving the raw data and performing the FFT in a 2nd environment.
