Did you mean:

ignore ini file line

In an ini file all lines starting with a semi-colon are comments are assumed ignored. The Read Key VI doesn't do this, is there some other symbol used to ignore line in ini files (LV 8.2) or must I remove the colon lines myself...

Funny thing here since NI Knowledge base claims the semi-colon is used to comment lines using LV 8.0!!!

Obviously this is NOT the case...

Specially, maybe NI Knowledge base means semi-colon is used for comment lines "but = sign cannot be included in the line... The knowledge base doesn't include this caveat!!!

I know this KB. The LV configuration VIs seem to be the exception !

Anyway, with LV8.5 (I have not tested it with earlier versions) the line will not be considered as a comment even if there is no =.

R&D is currently looking into the use of comments in .ini files.  This was reported to R&D (# 4HDCB9TP) for further investigation.  Thank you both for the feedback.
