how to use quad 510 to measure frequency??

I have a flow meter that output pulses with 24V peak. I'm bought QUAD 510 module but I'm having trouble measuring the frequency of the pulses. I tried to download a sample vi ftp://ftp.ni.com/pub/devzone/epd/203233.vi but the link seems to be expired. I need to know how to build my vi to measure frequency.

Thanks

Please note that I also have AI-110 module

Unfortunately you might have bought the wrong module for what you want to do. The QUAD-510 was designed to use with quadrature encoders so it needs two signals that are 90 Degrees offset. If you cannot supply the second phase then the module cannot measure the first phase. There is more detail in the KnowledgeBase linked below.

Using the FP-QUAD-510 with One Phase (Channel) Connected

The part you probably want is the CTR-500 or CTR-502
