hi, using htis we can give input interms of catesian coordinates(ie x,y,z).

but how to give input intrems of cylindrical coordinates directly(ie r,theta,z)

Check your version for the Mathematics, Geometry, 3D coordinate Conversion vi from the tool pallete. This will let you convert your cylindrical coordinates into cartesian to work with the surface plot format.
