how to configure DAQ assistant

Hi,

I am acquiring several voltages from displacement sensors with Labview and analysing the changes (induced by the movement of a motor, also controlled by labview). The program works, but I was wondering if there is a way to figure out what the best acquisition rate etc. is. Now I acquire 1k samples at a rate of 100k samples per second. Since performance and accuracy is a key issue here, I wanted to check if this is the best way to configure the DAQ assistant. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thx

Giovanni

Hello Giovanni,

Can you give some more information about the signal your currently measuring?

How does waveform look like?

What is the highest frequency component you want to measure?

Which accuracy do you need?

The default options should be efficient enough for most applications.

Which device are you currently using for the data aqcuisition?

Kind Regards,

If you want real accuracy though, you shouldn't be using Daq Assist. You should use the Daq MX functions.
