how accurate is "amplitude and level measurement"

Hi all, do you know how accurate/fast the "amplitude and level measurement" express vi in Labview 7 is?
I want to determine the peak to peak value of a single, 300 kHz burst (DAQ Card) and was wondering what would be the best and most accurate way to program this.

Many Thanks

Hi schorsche,

The accuracy of the amplitude and level measurement will be the same as your DAQ measurement (double precision 64-bit). It will search through the array of data for each channel and calculate the difference between the highest and lowest values, returning an array with the p-to-p value for each channel.

If you are concerned about processing speed, use the amplitude and levels.vi, however this vi can only handle one channel at a time.

Kind Regards

Hi schorsche,

Slight mistake on my part, the amplitude and levels.vi is polymorphic so can process multiple channels (right click on the sub VI>>select type>>amplitude and levels N channel). Therefore unless you want to make use of the other features of the Express VI, the amplitude and levels.vi will be your best choice.
