Hi,
I'd go the old fashioned A/D route with a A/D board to get just the
data from an analog output port. The problem is finding the right
point on the printed circuit board and accessing it without voiding
waranty. Add a DIO for the start button and you've all you need.
I'd leave setting parameters to the vendor supplied programs, as you
won't get spec's for the d
ifferent protocols.
One A/D board with a handfull of channels and "low" sampling rates
should suffice.
