Can I run my VI's in background - without front panel on the monitor screen?

Yes, you can.
If you want to run a subVI invisible, you can set this from VI Properties > Window Appearance.
If you want to make one of your main VIs invisible or to run a VI independent from the hierarchy of main VI, use VI server to dynamically call it and use FP-Open property to set it visible/invisible.
Describe how is this VI related to your application (details about it) and I'll try to provide an example
on how to do it.

One thing to note is that any VI that is running without its panel being
visible must have a VI reference open to it. This reference can exist
within the VI itself, or it can exist in another VI.

If you need more info, just ask.
