exponential window in Labview 5.1

Need help on how to set the right value of the exponential window factor
A (in the formula: exp(-A)) for a non periodic waveform signal. Should
be betwwen 0 to 10, but how to know which value to use? What relation
with the signal I want to "window"?
Sebastien.

Depends on what you want to achieve, but in general if your exponent decays
fast in time domain, then your window will be wider in frequency domain.
Also you probably want to taper down to zero at the end of your record, so
adjust A accordingly,.
