error code 3051

I need help fixing a problem with an error code.  The code is 3051 and happens when I try to start multsim it says The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file 'C:\Multisim\Mscomp.prd'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data.
Error Code: 3051"

I can't find anything in the support pages to help me fix this any help would be great my os is windows 98se

Hi Allen,

This error message indicates that you have a database problem.  The first thing you should check is if you have permission to the database file.  Navigate to the install folder and you will find a “database” folder; make sure you have full access to this folder and all files inside it.  There is a knowledge base that describes this problem:
