error 1074118647 magma expansion

Using a 4 Slot Magma expansion chassis and cardbus, I get error 1074118647 which states that, A previous acquisition is still in progress. If you attempt to change attributes, note you could only change fetch attributes while acquisition is still in progress. Same program works in a regular computer. And the problem is intermittent, sometimes 10 minutes of looped acquisition runs 1000+ times, sometimes runs 5 times. I don't understand, anyone have problems with that error or know of a way past it.

Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom,

What hardware are you using inside the chassis? I am using it is National Instruments scope card. What is the program trying to do?

Usually this happens if an acquisition is not aborted before starting another session. What is surprising is it's intermittent behaviour?

Do you also have PCI version of the scope with which you are testing the program with?

Can you please post some more information as what hardware you are using, sample code which can replicate the problem, driver version?

Thanks,

Kalyan

The same program with the same card works fine in a ruggedized portable lunchbox PC. Check sterling computers, or BSI for information on the computer. So it is a problem with the pcmcia card and the magma box. Is there a way I can abort the operation only in the event it isn't going to go through. Right now the program is in a loop so if the data acquisition returns an error, it will require the data. Although it works, this is not the fix I am looking for.
I am acquiring 10,000 points of data 10 times a second. The application is ultrasonic testing.

Hi Tom,

I am looking for information on the data acquisition card and the driver/software you are using to communicate with the card.

"Right now the program is in a loop so if the data acquisition returns an error, it will require the data. Although it works, this is not the fix I am looking for."

Are you mentioning that the card acquires data even with error? Please post a sample code or screenshot of the error. Screenshot information might help to debug the issue.

Thanks,

Kalyan
