does anybody now what the instruction "DE," whant's to say, by an HP 4145

I want to send some settings from my PC over an GPIB-bus to the HP 4145!! But there is always an error displayed on the screen of the HP 4145!!
unidentified symbol = named "DE," !! does anybody now what this "DE," stand's for, And with what I must replace this !! Thanks

Do you have a manual for the instrument? If not you should definately try to find one. It should tell you what all the front panel errors mean. If I had to guess it would be that you are sending the wrong termination character or using the wrong syntax in the message.
