debugging host machine VI executable with CRIO project

Hello

I am just getting back into NI stuff after many years off

Being fed by a firehose right now. 

I have understood how to debug the RTOS side of the CRIO

We are using application builder to build the executable to run on the host machine. 

I need to debug some of the stuff on the host side

Can someone help me to understand how i can do that. 

I have tried opening the debugger and using "localhost" and also the IP of the host machine. 

Neither work

Thanks for your effort

I have found the way to get it into debug mode, however, it seems particularly useless. 

The debug mode for the host vi  prevents you from being able to push any buttons on the UI

Rendering the debug mode useless really.

Anyone every see this before?
