data acquisition with 34970A

Hallo all,

I  have connected a dozen thermocouples to my agilent 34970A device to measure temperature of a system at different points. I have downloaded the labview 6 drivers for the agilent device.

I want to write an interface in Labview for the device such that the scanned values of thermocouples are displayed on the computer. I am very new to Labview, can Someone guide me how to proceed further.

Thank you
Nanda

Here is something to try. This is just a single scan read. If you want more readings, add a while loop or for loop. What type of thermocouple, what are the channel numbers, what are the comm. port settings??

Here is a picture of the vi since you are using version 6.

Hello,

Thank you very much for your help. But  i am not able to open the VI file as i am using

an older version of labview 6i.  I have done some program using the drivers available on the

website. But i am not getting any result, at  first I want to try it with only one thermocouple and GPIB interface.

Later I want to introduce many thermocouples and serial bus interface.

One more question, How can I specify the thermocouple types and preferences when I am using many number

of different types of thermocouples
