corrupt llb

Help!
I get the error "an error occured while listing the contents...." when opening a VI Library. Is there any way to recover the contents or some of the contents?

Thanks in advance for your help

hi there,

sometimes i have serious troubles with corrupted llbs. i use them in almost all apps i create because i can bundle and distribute a functionality in a single file (like handling of DAQ, datafiles etc...). the trouble is, when i rename a vi in win explorer while its not in memory and other vis of the same llb are in memory, the vi or the whole llb sometimes get corrupted. thats quite anoying. as i use visual source safe i have a backup in most cases. but anyway, i lost data more than once.

what was the problem with your llb and how was is fixed? are there any fixes in LabVIEW > 7.1.1?

the problem occured on several machines with LV 7.1(.1) under Win XP Pro SP2.

best regards
chris

Hi there chrisger,

If you mail your corrupted .llb to the NI support mailbox of your country they should be able to retrieve a big part of the content. That's the way nicophenix did it and we were able to retrieve the information that did not get corrupted.
