control rods in nuclear reactors

I would like to move (to show the movement) of control rods in nuclear reactors.
you can help me how to do this. The goal is simple: to lift and lower a rod or figure, with a numerical value ranging. simulating a control bar.

What have you tried? The slider controls would seem to be just fine for this.

The sliders are on the numeric palette. They are simple numeric controls that I don't think need much of an explanation beyone what is the online help. If you have not already, see the free LabVIEW tutorials.
