communication with labview and shneider quantum PLCs

Hello guys,

Iam  planning to upgrade our system from lookout 5.0 to labview. The installed plcs are schneider's modicon quantum series. can u tell how to develop communication bw schneider plcs and labview. i could not find the pre installed shcneider plcs drivers in opc server.

You don't necessary need the NI-OPC server for communication with the PLC. Does Schneider not provide an OPC server that supports their PLCs? You could just use that. Or, is there any other communication protocol those PLCs support? Maybe modbus?

Hi adnan, ya it can be done via modbus as previously but i don know the method in labview.........

Well, there is a NI Modbus Library for LabVIEW that you can use.
