chart x axis start position with absolute time stamps

Solved!
Go to solution

I'm struggling to get the waveform to start on the left of the chart when using absolute time stamps. The current time is always the right most point of the chart and I can move the first point to the left by playing with the horizontal scrollbar.

If I set the Time Stamps to Relative in the simulate Signal vi the first point (t=0) then align to the left.

The actual data will eventually come from a daq device. The x-scale lenght is set to 9 minutes as I need to do measurement for a little bit more than 8 minutes. I tried playing with the offset value but only achieve time travelling doing so.

Any suggestion?

What if you set the chart properties for Display Update to "Scope Chart" instead of "Strip Chart"?

Wow, I tried so many things (even tried the Scope and Sweep chart mode) but some settings must have been different then because the scope chart mode does it this time! Thanks a lot.
