change subVI without stopping main VI

Hello, is there any possibility to change the source code of an active but apparently not used subVI without stopping the superordinate VI. I would like to do that to fix an error in a subVI without stopping the main application.

You can't edit a VI that's running or "waiting to run". Once you pressed the run button, the VI is compiled and you can't change it. You should be able to edit a VI that's called dynamically, using VI server methods.
