can't find hdl interface node

I have labview 8.6.1 and installed the core CD and FPGA module. I can't find HDL interface node anywhere. What am I doing wrong?

On the FPGA block diagram, did you check in the Programming -> Advanced palette?

Yeah. there is no Advanced Palette for me..

When I try to locate this function using Help, it gives me an error that says

Object not found: the possible reasons include

the object might exist in a different palette view

the object might not be supported on a target in the project explorer window

the object might belong to an installed package that now has an expired license..

and I got the license from my college, so it should be good throughout the year....

What are you targeting?

Hi dahhhh,

I agree with Adnan, I would make sure you are targeting your FPGA, otherwise the Advanced palette will not be available.  To do this:

1.  Right-click the project name in the Project Explorer and select New»Targets and Devices.

2.  Expand Real-Time CompactRIO and then select your cRIO on the network.

3.  Once the target system has been added to your project, right-click FPGA target and select New»VI.

You should be able to see the Advanced palette when you right-click on the block diagram.

 Hi,

I have the same problem, and I followed all the steps. Still the advanced tab is not visible.

I am targetting cRIO-9063 with LabVIEW 2018.

Regards

tahi

Please start a new thread.

The "I have the same problem" is rather obscure when the original discussion has been dormant for a decade.

The problem was solved.

I just checked, FPGA module and Xilinx Vivado was not installed.
