Hi

camera should be

autofocus , high resolution so that it can capture hair level crack, will be visible on picture , and also can connect with myrio (like usb 2.0  cameras ) , (any other specification if you think it should be in camera for small crack detection) .

Hi,

I would recommend taking a look at this document in order to calculate your camera's sensor resolution according the crack that you want to inspect: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/1948AE3264ECF42E86257D00007305D5

Once you have determined your camera sensor, you will also need to decide your frame rate and whether you want a color or mono camera.

Unfortunately, National Instruments does not recommend any USB 2.0 cameras BUT our hardware and software supports most USB 2.0 devices that are DirectShow compatible. (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/4331B4AA3AE95233862574C200539A2F#usb2)

Therefore, as long as your 3rd party camera follows the DirectShow acquisition, you should be able to use it with your myRIO.

I hope this helps! Good luck!
