cRIO9076 & Xilinx Compiler doesn't work

Hello,

everytime i start to compile an simple vi for my fpga target on the crio9076 i get following error:

Compilation failed due to a Xilinx error.

  Details:
ERROR:TclTasksC:project_028: Unknown property value "spartan6" specified for "PROP_DevFamily"
      while executing
  "project set family spartan6"
      (file "C:\NIFPGA\jobs\YYCpvK1_GGlHXpz\synthesize.tcl" line 5)

I tried to compile the vi on another pc with similar software setup, but there was the same result.

And i searched for possible solutions, but i didnt find anything suitable.

I tried to compile another vi from an old project with works with the PCI7833R, here works everything fine.

After a few minutes i get the complete bitfile.

My Software Setup is: Labview 10f2, FPGA 2010, Xilinx 11.5 & Xilinx 10.X Compiler

Thanks a lot for your help 🙂

Greetings,

Ben

Hey Ben,

As you can see here, any Spartan6 target requires LabVIEW 2010 SP1 or later.

Cheers!

Did you install LabVIEW 2010SP1, and also corresponding FPGA module update (FPGA Module 2010SP1)? You will need to install both.

Anyway, I will give you an update.

Hy,

its me again, a new "problem" occured.

I cant find the download links for FPGA 2010 SP1 and Real Time 2010 SP1 on the NI page.

So can someone post that links here.

Thanks a lot!

Yes, i searched with that keywords.

If i click on your FPGA Link, i get a message from the ni site that there is no result that match to my keywords.

With the RT Link i get 3 results, but there is no 2010 SP1 as a result.

😕 Help 😉

Well, that's strange. It works for me. How about searching Google for:

site:ni.com "LabVIEW FPGA Module 2010 SP1"

site:ni.com "LabVIEW Real-Time Module 2010 SP1"

With those searches I get these links:

http://www.ni.com/download/labview-fpga-module-2010-sp1/3206/en/

http://www.ni.com/download/labview-real-time-module-2010-sp1/2382/en/

If those don't work, try another browser or configure your browser for English language (if it isn't already) and see if that makes a difference?

Hy,

so here is the update.

On my system is now runnung labview 2010 SP1, FPGA 2010 SP1,Xilinx Compiler 11.5 &  10.1.

I'm still getting an error from my compiler.

(By the way, all kind of FPGA works fine with my compiler. Only the "Spartan 6 FPGA" doesn't work.)

Compilation failed due to a Xilinx error.

I did't have the Real Time Module, because i just want to use the FPGA on my CRIO-9076.

Is that maybe the reason for that error? Is it mandatory, if i only use the FPGA?

Or got anyone an idea what else can be the source of error?

Thanks a lot 🙂
