cRIO 9053 and version of Labview

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I have a cRIO 9053 board and I read in the specifications that supports from Labview 2018 to later version. I have Labview 2017 SP1 (32 bit) installed on my pc and in fact when I add a new target to the project I cannot find the cRIO 9053 on the list.

At this point I think to install directly Labview 2019 and the realtime module but I have several realtime project developed with Labview 2017.

Could there be compatibility problems installing Labview 2019? Have I to convert all to Labview 2019?

Thanks for the support.

There probably will be no compatibility problems when upgrading from LV2017 to LV2019.

And yes, you will convert all your sources to LV2019 once you open the projects with this version.

(Be sure to create a backup before upgrading. And there is the common recommendation to use a SCC tool to keep revisions of your code. See also the upgrade notes that come with LabVIEW on this very topic.)

Best regards,
