cDAQ-9172, cDAQ-9174 read as USB RAW on MAX - cannot configure

I have a cDAQ-9174 and cDAQ-9172 chassis with a NI 9213 thermocouple input. MAX recognizes these devices as USB RAW and does not allow me to configure them to access the thermocouple pin outs. Resetting the configuration data does not work.

Windows 10.  NI Labview 2017, DAQmx driver 17.5 (necessary for chassis). No updates pending.

Used a few weeks ago to record measurements with no issues, and suddenly just now it only recognizes the chassis as USB raw.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Something with the DAQmx device drivers went awfully awry here. Did you happen to update Windows recently (eventhough you may not be aware of it as this goes nowadays sneakily in the background and is hard to avoid. I usually only notice it when I resume the computer from sleep the next day that I have to relogin into certain services because the machine did a restart after the update)? Have you tried a full reinstallation of DAQmx on that machine?

Did full reinstall - seems to work.

Windows definitely updated in between uses.
