Many thanks. It's working now. I just changed the converter mini display to VGA for different monitor and finally detected.
Cheers

Hi.
I want to bring cDAQ 9136 by connecting to battery to the field to measure signals. But I don't have 220v power to connect monitor in the field. Is there any other way to connect cDAQ to my laptop?
Thanks

Hi, Asgar,
I want to bring cDAQ 9136 by connecting to battery to the field to measure signals.
I'm pretty sure the cDAQ will run with a standard 12V car or 24V truck battery!
But I don't have 220v power to connect monitor in the field.
Why not? There are a lot of DC-AC converters for use in cars available…
Is there any other way to connect cDAQ to my laptop?
You can connect your cDAQ to your computer using USB or LAN, as is written in the manual!

I have tried many times, it only works with quick start with using mini display to VGA to monitor, keyboard and mouse. USB or LAN doesn't work at all and NI max can not detect the cDAQ.
thanks

Hi Asgar,
it only works with quick start with using mini display to VGA to monitor, keyboard and mouse.
Use a DC-AC converter to provide power supply for a monitor…
USB or LAN doesn't work at all
I guess you need to write some (LabVIEW) programs to use those ports…

USB or LAN connection doesn't work for NI MAX or LABVIEW. How to write a program while we don't know the system is detected or not! In the field I want to measure for 18 hrs signals. I don't have UPS or battery for 220v. This must be very easy to connect by USB to laptop and use laptop instead of bring monitor to the field with 220v power.
Thanks

Hi Asgar,
I want to measure for 18 hrs signals. I don't have UPS or battery for 220v.
So you want to measure for longer periods of time but you don't have an UPS/battery/whatever?
What was your reason to get that decision?

I have battery 12 / 24 V which is enough to support NI cDAQ 9136. I want to use two laptops to collect data in the field which is easy.
Thanks

Hi Asgar,
you have laptops which run continuously for 18h or more? Without an external battery/UPS?
You want to measure reliable in the field?
We already concluded you are using a cDAQ with in-built WinOS. You need to run your program/VI directly on this cDAQ and you need to use an external monitor with this cDAQ.
The other option is to write a program which runs on your cDAQ at startup and does all the communication over LAN (like network shared variables, network streams). Then you can connect with your laptop and receive the data using a second VI!
