bug: exaggerate width of logarithmic slider scale

Solved!
Go to solution

I finally pinpointed something which was buggering me since a long time. The scale of a logarithmic slider control may become exceedingly wide, if the displayed range covers less than one decade. This makes the control wide too, and can break FP alignments, for instance if the slider appears within a size-adapting tab.

Attached is a VI demonstrating the problem. LV2015, but have seen it in many older versions.

Can some PTB reproduce the behavior and upscale it to CAR if not earlier reported and if it's the case? Thanks.

I can reproduce the issue with all SLIDE typed controls using LV 2015.

Filed CAR #573500.

However, the issue is negletable if you hide the minor ticks.
