Some casual testing show this to be a bug (reported here). It seems all "invert circles" get dropped in the snipped image if they are near the edge.

The problem is only cosmetic.

Example: if we select the following two nodes and create a snippet, all invert circles are cut off in the image:

 

If we paste the snipped back on the BD, the circles magically appear again.
