analog triggering

Hi

Am acquiring 6 signals simulateonously using the DAQ Assistant with the NI USB-6356.

To acquire the signals, am triggering with one of the analog signals, however the triggering seems to only work at specfic combinations of sample number and sampling frequency.

How can I make analog triggering independent of the choice of sampling frequency and number of samples?
