Zaber rotates only to one direction

Hello,

I am trying to install a new Zaber on a LabVIEW platform.

The zaber rotates only to one direction, and the step size is also off.

Is there a place where the Zaber series number needs to be defined?

Thanks

What is a "new Zaber"? What is your "LabVIEW platform"?

zaber X-NMS17-E01

labview 2020

new means I have previously used a different device (same series), but with this one it won't rotate to the left on LabVIEW.

In the zaber consul I keep getting error:

WR

Warning - No Reference Position

The axis does not have a reference position.

This warning persists until the axis position is updated by homing or any command/action that sets position.

Hi Maayangad,

This means you need to reference the axis before you can use it.

"Homing" is very similar to "referencing"…

This is correct. A home sensor should have been included with the motor. Here's a sheet on setting up the limit sensor: https://www.zaber.com/documents/Zaber_Home_Sensor_Installation_X-NMS(-E).pdf. Once it is homed it should allow rotation in either direction. Alternately, you can manually set a reference using the Low Level 'Set' SubVI in the Zaber_A_Series library, and set the starting position to 0. On your question of resolution, it depends on what you are connecting to.

I'm happy to assist directly, with either LabVIEW questions or other questions relating to the zaber device, at mike@zaber.com
