Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro - Will it ever be supported?

Does anyone know if LabVIEW (at least the runtime) will ever officially support Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro? I love love love using LabVIEW for developing machine interfaces (HMIs) and want the extended power offered by the 8.1 OS AND the ability to lock down the system.
It seems like it should be a fairly easy thing to do given that the embedded version of 8.1 is the same as the standard version of 8.1 except with additional lockdown functionality.
Anyone? NI peeps?

I will look into this a little more and get back to you sometime tomorrow with an answer. But generally timelines for products like this are kept internal to R&D, so I will do my best to find more information but may not be able to get you anything specific.

There's just so much that can be done in LabVIEW that leaves standard HMIs in the dust. I want to leverage it!

Hello Mercuri,
After looking into whether or not NI will officially support Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro, I have found that we still do not officially support the Windows Embedded 7, so support for Windows Embedded 8.1 will also not be officially supported.
This may change in the future, but R&D could not say anything specific related to that effort or timeline.
Just because we do not officially support an operating system does not mean that our products will not work on the operating system, there may just be bugs that we have not identified. So try using it, you never know!
