Will the execution of flat sequence be interrupted if the case is no longer being the selected one?

I have a flat sequence inside a case structure.  Will the execution be interrupted if we select a different case or LabView will wait til the end of flat sequence's execution to make the switching possible?

The latter.

LabVIEW uses dataflow to determine execuition order. So a sequence structure, once entered will run to completion before anything outside the sequence can run. Similarly everything inside the selected case of a case structure will complete before exiting the case structure. A new value of the case selector will have no effect until the case is ready to run again.
