Will LabVIEW 6.0.2 professional development system install on WIndows XP?

I wrote a small state machine in LV 6.0.2 under Windows 2000 for controlling and communicating with an instrument via RS232 port.
I own the 6.0.2 professional development system.

1. Will I have problems porting it to Windows XP?
2. Can I develop 6.0.2 applications on Windows XP?
3. Can I use the 6.0.2 run-time engine on Windows XP?
4. Any known issues with using the 6.0.2 Measurement and Automation Explorer with XP?

LabVIEW 6.0.2 is not officially supported by NI to work on Windows XP. Will it work? Maybe, maybe not.

Which Windows Versions Are Compatible with LabVIEW and the LabVIEW Toolkits?

Some people have reporting having issues while others reported that it worked fine.  I'm not sure what caused the distinction between the two.

Have you tried installing and using it?

I have LV 6i and it works ok.  I don't think I have any aps that use the RS-232 bus though.

That will require a compatible version of VISA. VISA 2.6 was the first to "officially" support XP.
