I just didn't want anybody to waste time on my original code as it was overly complex. I certainly did not mean this forum is a waste of time; it is probably the most valuable LabVIEW asset there is! And I wanted to Paypal the person who answered this very weird question, but I should not have mentioned that.
The latest flickering code is also attached here, but it has stopped flickering on my machine after I restarted LabVIEW and tried it, so I guess it is now a non-issue.
