Why do I get "The plug in for the selected item is not installed on your system"?

I'm getting a Fieldpoint plug-in error involved in my project.  I cannot import my Fieldpoint configuration (previous LabVIEW 8.2.1).
Will I need the Fieldpoint 6.0 version?

Hi Oley,
Does the plug in give you a specific error number?  What is the number?  If not, what does the message say?  You said "previous LabVIEW 8.2.1".  Does this mean you have upgraded to LV 8.5?  Where are you trying to input the configuration?  On another PC?  Into the project?

Some more information on the issue would be great.  Thanks!

Hello!

There is no error number.  Just "The plug-in for the selected item is not installed on your system" message.

And I have upgraded to the 8.5 version from 8.2.1.  Same PC same project.

I think I am in need of the Fieldpoint 6.0 which I can't find at this time.  😉

Hi Oley,
I think you are correct in thinking it is the drivers.  I believe that downloading the current FieldPoint drivers should fix your problem.  Let me know how this goes!

Sorry I haven't gotten back...

Yes, the new drivers (Aug '07) did the trick.

Full install on my machine (expected) as well as target (not expected).

The install on my machine was fine as all my LabVIEW software is here anyway, but the target machine install was a bit cumbersome as I won't be using most of what's on the driver disc on that machine.  No biggie as it works great now!
