Why cann't I search examples in ni.com by NI Example Finder?

The version of my LabVIEW is 8.0.1, and I want to search examples in ni.com through NI Example Finder. But the "ni.com query timeout" indicator always turned on after I checked "include ni.com examples" in NI Example Finder, and what I can search in NI Example Finder is just local examples installed with LabVIEW.

My computer connects to Internet by http proxy. I am wondering if I should set proxy for my NI Example Finder to acess examples in ni.com, but I can't find out how to set it.

I'd appreciate it if anyone can help me.

I noticed almost the same issue (with LV 7.1.1) and then gave up with this option on the example browser.
Since I have no particular knowledge in web/networks, what I now is :

 First seach in LabVIEW examples,
 Second, if I haven't found what I want I search on ni website here.

Check if your windows firewall isnt getting in the way. This has been a problem in the past.

My computer is in a LAN and connects to Internet through a http proxy. I can browse web pages by setting http proxy  in IE.

I think I'd better search examples on ni website directly, as TiTou suggested.
