Hello everyone,
I’m working on a turboprop turbine test bench and I’d like advice on the NI software/licenses we should purchase.
Project overview:
Measure multiple signals: temperature, pressure, flow, etc.
Use these measurements to implement a control law to command two actuators (two pumps)
The system may evolve (more sensors/I/O, added control/monitoring features)
Hardware choice: CompactRIO (cRIO) with FPGA
Questions:
For this kind of test bench, is LabVIEW alone enough, or is it better to get a suite like NI Embedded Control and Monitoring Software Suite?
Since we are using cRIO + FPGA, do we definitely need the LabVIEW FPGA Module?
Do we also need the LabVIEW Real-Time Module (typical cRIO architecture), or can everything run from a Windows PC ?
Any recommended NI approach/tools for data logging + monitoring + deployment for an industrial test bench?
Thanks in advance!
