Where is the installer for LV applications made for PACs

When developing software for Windows targets we can build an installation set and use that to install the software on multiple computers, quick and simple.
When you develop applications for PACs however, there is no installer option.

We are not talking about hundreds of units per day or anything like that, but even if you only need to program (or reprogram) 3 or 4 PACs it becomes very cumbersome to do it from a LabVIEW project.

It would be nice to e.g. be able to generate an installation file and then be able to select the controllers in MAX and say - install this on all of them. OR - even better, the installer would be an executable that would list the available PACs itself and ask you to select which of them to install the software on.

It is possible to make such a solution on your own (a simple solution would be to have an ftp based  app that pushes the software onto X units), but to me it seems natural to have this as a part of the tools from NI.
I'm sure NI will not mind if people find it advantageous to use a lot of PACs....;-)

Hi Mads.  Check out the System Replication Tools:

http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3937

We used these as a basis for our own production tools.  Went from 1/2 hour engineering time
to 5 minutes of production time per unit.

We have also built some of our PC apps to recognize when the PAC has outdated code and
auto-update.  Haven't worked in the OS update yet, but that will be soon.

Have not tried it yet, but looks like it will do the job. Thanks!:-)

Would be nice to have this integrated more by having installers and a similar feature in MAX though, maybe an idea for NI?
