Hi Fred,

Did you try the AD6310B driver? I don't know the differences between AQ6315A and AD6310B. I think they belong to the same 63XX series so they may use the same command set. I suggest you should confirm with Ando about that and request driver from NI.

You can also take a look at:

for ANDO drivers. I noticed that they had one for the 6315 under /ANDO/LabView5/Aq6315/

Please note that these drivers are not supported by Teracomm or NI, and as Bill mentions, a driver for a similar model might be a good option.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. I download the driver for AQ6310 from the library of NI, but unfortunately when I try to open a VI, an error occurs which indicates that file "instrsup.dll" is missed.

Hello there, I find myself in quite a similar dilema.
I am looking for LabView controls for my Ando AQ-6315E Optical Spectrum Analyzer. I already triend using the ones for the Ando AQ-6310 but they don´t seem to work correctly.

I also tried opening the FTP suggested but I can´t log in. Is there any chance you could send me the files to my mail account? The ones for the Ando AQ-6315? If you can my mail is edomene@gmail.com

I am not sure why the site would work for you and not for me, but I am more than happy to post the llb of the driver here. However, I do want to reiterate that these drivers are not supported by NI. I'm providing them because they may be a good starting point for your programming, but no one at NI wrote them, and we have not tested them here, either. Hope this helps with your application!

Hello all,

I guess I'm a very late comer. I've downloaded the AQ-6315.dll driver to use with my Ando AQ-6315B OSA. I managed to communicate with the instrument and put it in Remote Mode, but that's about it. Nothing else seems to be working. The software apparently hangs forever while running the Sweep.vi file.

Can someone please forward me a set of working VIs or point me to where the problem is?

I am currently looking for a driver for the Ando AQ2140 Optical Multimeter. I have a goal to remotely control it. Programming guide for the equipment would do. If you know something, please pass.

You should have started a new thread instead of posting to an old and unrelated one.

Ando became part of Yokagawa. You should try there for a manual though apparently this instrument is discontinued. Manuals for old instruments are offered by a variety of places . You might try google.
