When to unconfigure vision acquisition?

Solved!
Go to solution

The Help for the LabVIEW IMAQdx Configure Grab node mentions, "Use the IMAQdx Unconfigure Acquisition VI to unconfigure the acquisition."  However, I can find no information about when one would need to unconfigure the acquisition.  Does a session need to be unconfigured before being re-configured?  Is it recommended to unconfigure before Close Camera, or does the Close Camera take care of that cleanup?

While I've used Configure Acquisition, I've never used Unconfigure, but just closed the Camera and stopped the program.

However, if (for some reason) I wanted to acquire images with, say, 10 buffers, then after taking some frames wanted to change the number of buffers, I would Unconfigure, then Configure again.  If nothing changes, however, just forget about it (say that with a Brooklyn accent).
