"Quit LabView" is often accompanied by having "Automatically close VISA sessions" active, which can be just as horrible.
It is nice to have files/references being closed for you, but often it will cover up bugs like re-opening already opened files. It leads to users having to avoid certain usage patterns and having to re-start the software every now and then because otherwise it wil break.
