What is a TDO?

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I have a newb kind of a question. Can someone explain to me what a TDO is as it would apply to data locations for scripts. I use Labview at work to test PCBs, and when writing scripts I have to set TDOs in a certain order.

I was just looking for what TDO stands for and and an overview of what they are.

Thanks very much!

Why don't you provide us some context?  You obviously saw TDO used in some sentences -- why don't you quote them for us?  [I confess I'm not 100% certain I know what a PCB is, only 97.3% ...].

Type Descriptor Object?  No, I don't think that is the definition you are looking for.  Here is a list of 31 possibilities.  As was already stated, a little more context would be helpful.

Hi,

When using a CAN bus monitoring software, there are some addresses, or "bit place holders" labeled TDOs. That's really all I know about them.

Thanks again!

That's NOT all you know about them.  You know there is a document where this is located.  Maybe you can share that with us.

So I found a basic answer. CAN is a protocol similar to OBDII. We use Labview to monitor & test CAN based hardware. There are 3 different versions of CAN. TPDO (I didn't get the acronym) represents lines of CAN commands for one version of the protocol.

Thanks very much for the replies!

Obviously a Tunnel Diode Oscillator, use them all the time for high precision measurements since they have a region of negative I-V characteristics and can be made to stably oscillate with sub-PPM stability.

Not what you were looking for?  Seems that the field of 3 character acronyms is very very overloaded!
